Magically Delicious!

Just a little something something I threw together in the fitting room. This look wasn't on purpose it just ended up being Magically Delicious! :-) But no, I was actually showing one of my friends this blazer that I picked out and loved but then realized that I already have a pink blazer. So, I took a pic for her to see if she liked it and she did so I got it for her!!!

Some may say that this look is busy or a bit much, but I actually think it's genius! I ended up buying that polka dot top and I have a blue skirt that I thrifted that looks exactly like this one, so I don't know why I picked this one up... *sidenote: I thrift so much that I'm starting to forget what I already have... But anyway, I'm going to recreate this fit at a later date in a more polished way. Hope you like! *wink

UNIQUE Experience...

So this week I'm in Cleveland, OH and of course I went vintage shopping while here for work. I feel like I have to take a piece of every city back home with me.

Anyway, I searched and searched for a vintage/thrift shop and came across this place called UNIQUE thrift store... And it was UNIQUE alright, I'm telling you that this place was jammed packed! But it wasn't because the place was UNIQUE, it was a hott GHETTO mess. The people shopping there were more of the "less fortunate" than thrifty fashionistas... Everybody was straight hood and it looked like a club in there.

After sorting through millions of unorganized clothes, I came across a good 10 pieces... As I walked around looking for a dressing room, 10 minutes had passed... I then realized that this ghetto place doesn't even have a dang dressing room! So, I had to try my clothes on in front of everybody in this mirror that they had... DREADFUL I tell ya!

However, there is a happier ending. So after I tried on everything I only ended up with half of those items... The better part is here, I ended up only paying $11 for those 5 items because it was 50% off on Mondays!!! So I scored at the end of the day and was no longer irritated.

I thought I'd share two of the items that I liked the most. Here goes!

BUN UP!

I really love a nice bun! Oh and her shades are bangin solidifying her whole look... Simply chic

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!!!

I wore this out yesterday to a friend's b day shindig with the intentions of being as literal as possible. I wanted to wear as much black and white as possible! However, the inner colorful person that I am wouldn't allow it... So I decided to throw in a little color with my clutch and my lips! :-)

I love this thrifted referee shirt that I stumbled upon as I was headed to the register to check out in my favorite thrift store. I spotted it mixed in with other shirts and I just had to have it... Didn't even try it on and didn't even look at the size! I just knew I could find a smart way to wear it. So when you see me rocking this shirt again, go ahead and talk about me because I don't care, I set my own rules and I will recycle this shirt just in a different way! *wink

RED BOTTOMS!

Today I made another trip to Goodwill while on my lunch break! This time I wasn't shopping for myself, I was actually shopping for my first client! She asked for my styling assistance for her upcoming baby shower and pregger pictures! So I gladly said YES! I'm extremely excited for this venture, with the hopes of styling for the stars one day in the near future! ;-)

More exciting news is, I have a date with my second client tomorrow!!! Yay!

So I decided to capture my look for the day as I set up my client's look! Check me out! BTW I got this red skirt from here the other day when I purchased that $7.00 pink skirt, it was $7.00 too! I failed to mention that... The leopard button down is from H&M and the $1.00 thrifted belt I got last week in VA.

Bubble Yum!

Yesterday I had to be my own photographer since I was at work... So I went to my favorite EXPENSIVE :-/ Goodwill while on my lunch break. It's only my favorite because I find pretty good things there and the fact that it's 2 seconds away from my job. It's not my fav because their prices aren't comparable to other Goodwill stores. Any who I digress...

I am wearing the knee length skirt in"blue" that I got from the Goodwill in VA for $3.50. The"pink" one shown here is from the"expensive" one that I was currently at... I loved the color and the fit so much that I went ahead and bought it for ($7.00) 2X the price I paid for the"blue" one! Grrr... Anyway I got plenty compliments on yesterdays looks and I also got plenty looks!

See I work in a more conservative, business professional environment where people typically wear; black, white, grey and tans... So my look was a bit out the box to some... Nonetheless, I don't think those lookers were giving me mean and dirty looks, I think they probably thought it was different than the norm... Finally here is my look! And BTW: I've had this striped oxford shirt since 02!!! Just thought I'd put my hoarding out there! Lol! : ) I just can't let go...

FAVE 5!

I was feeling breezy yesterday so I decided to put on my newly thrift and FAVE $3.50 maxi skirt. It was a casual look that I wore to church except I had on a denim blazer instead. It got too hot here in Houston so I had to switch it up with my go to and FAVE h&m denim vest. I wear it with everything because it's a great layering piece and I love to layer, it adds a little extra to your fit! :-) Threw on my FAVE white v-neck for more simplicity, my FAVE necklace, right along with my FAVE Ray-Ban shades.

V8 SPLASH!

Here is yesterday's look... It was 100+ degrees outside yesterday so I was trying to get in some shade for these pics. Plus, the photographer was complaining about how hot it was so I tried to make it snappy! Looking for a new photographer who doesn't complain and who wants to work for free! Lol!  :-p Any who hope you like!

Outfit: Top: Urban Outfitters and had it for years on top of years, Skirt: H&M, Shoes: Jessica Simpson, Purse: Vintage Dooney & Bourke, Belt: thrifted for $1, Jewelry: random (necklace & bracelet)

BAMBOOZLED!

So excited about my thrifty finds!!! I landed 13 fabulous items for $32.00 at Goodwill here in VA! I feel like I have been BAMBOOZLED.... I usually shop at the Goodwill in The Woodlands back home and I've never gotten anything as cheap as I did yesterday. Everything was $3.50 and cheaper here!

Here's what I purchased: 2 blazers, 1 vest, 1 top, 2 maxi skirts, 1 knee length skirt and 6 belts!!!

Remember these ladies!!! I had to snatch'em up... And of course I am going to link two together or wear two at once but layered! :-)

The 4th do over

Here's what I wore yesterday... I decided to pull out my white shorts since the summer is coming to an end. The whole "no white" after Labor Day is one fashion no, no I follow. So to each is own... Hope you enjoy!
Outfit: top and clutch thrifted, BCBG white linen shorts, Tory Burch thongs.

The MUTED Speaks!

I'm excited about this look, it has a 60's flare! I stumbled upon this maxi dress and vintage Dooney & Bourke as I was thrifting in NY last week. I love the material of this dress, it's very heavy but breathable at the same time. I also love the fullness of it and the print isn't too bad either. This is not my typical look only because I am an individual who is full of color and today I am a bit MUTED! However, this dress speaks volumes. So I hope you like just as much as I do... Wink Wink!

FALL-ing in LOVE

These bombshells are giving it to us for the fall and winter! I'm so inspired by these chicks, once again I'm so ready for the FALL! I love to layer and heart outerwear. That pea coat trench number and lambs wool coat is really giving me the business... It's 100 degrees outside and I want to shop for coats right now! That's all now enjoy!
