I poked my head into the local Goodwill while I was on my lunch break and didn't really see anything. It only takes me about 10-15 to skim through the racks to come to a conclusion, which today's conclusion was a NEGATIVE!
So I tried on this blazer and skirt that was too small which wasn't even worthy of showing so I didn't post it. But I did get a few snaps of what I wore to work. So here it is!!!
Outfit: polka dot sweater- Old Navy, 3/4 sleeve trench- Urban Outfitters, navy corduroys and belt- thrifted, loafers- Nine West
Fashion that isn't expected and just IRREGULARLY placed, but somehow it ends up being PERFECT!

Crushing Velvet!
It's a CELEBRATION snitches!!! This weekend my fiancé crossed over onto the dark side. He is now in the 30 club and he brought his b day in right! So here is what I rocked on this fun filled, eventful day.
I got plenty compliments and the others just didn't understand so they cracked jokes about my velvet bow tie, calling me a Muslim, Louis Ferrakhan and Andre 3Stacks. It was all in good fun so I didn't take offense to any of the banter. There was also talk about how many blazers I posses since I'm always rocking a different one when I'm out. I haven't made an official count but I have roughly 20-25... Anyway we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I would like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate on behalf of the boo! Enjoy!
Outfit: Anne Klein blazer- thrifted, sheer button down shirt- H&M, leopard velvet shorts- Urban Outfitters, velvet bow tie- eBay, velvet Jeffrey Campbell Litas- Nasty Gal

WATCH THE THRONE!
Well hello there!!! I am back from taking a brief break from the blog world to celebrate the holidays. I have quite a few things to blog about since I've been out of the loop, so keep your eyes open for more to come in 2012.
Well let me start by catching you guys up on December... This look right here is from when the fiance and I took on the Watch The Throne concert. OMG!!! That dynamic duo (Jigga & Kanye) blew the stage up, it was straight bananas in there. They put a whole new meaning to their most famous song "Niggas in Paris" they Balled Sooooo Hard to that song! Okay, okay, okay enough about the concert since it was a month ago, cause I could go down memory lane for hours about that concert.
Moving on to the look of the night. It was STUPID cold that evening so of course I wore faux leather shorts, I mean what else would I wear? Jeans or Sweats? Yeah right lol! I paired my leathers with a 100% RABBIT fur jacket that I had been dying to wear. When I tell you that fur was shedding like nobody's business, I mean it was everywhere! My goal was to rock as many different materials, textures and prints as possible which I did.
The materials, textures and patterns consisted of; the sequin blouse, 100% rabbit fur jacket, faux leather shorts, polka dot tights, faux fur leopard belt, suede knee high boots and my blinged out ring!
Outfit: 100% rabbit fur jacket, sequin blouse- thrifted, faux leather shorts and polka dot tights- Urban Outfitters, suede boots- Steve Madden, leopard belt- Aldo, cocktail ring- Betsey Johnson
Hope you enjoy!!! Wink wink

Urban Trench!
It was quite chilly on Friday so I had to pull out the good ole trench. This isn't your traditional London Fog trench, it's more of a lightweight trench which was just perfect for the 50 degree weather we were having.
Any hoo I took these pics in my FAV store Urban Outfitters! I couldn't leave there without making a purchase, so I left with a really cool bag that I've rocked twice already! Pics coming soon!

Galleria Blues...
Top of the morning to ya! :-) Yesterday was day 2 of my vacation and it was a bit of a drag... I was on a mission to find a cute outfit for the upcoming RIHANNA concert this Saturday that the Mr. and I are going to.
So I decided to go to the Galleria mall here in Houston. To my surprise, I couldn't find not one inspiring clothing article to peek my fashion interest! (rolling my eyes) I've come to the realization that our biggest mall here (the Galleria) sucks! The only stores that I ever go to there are URBAN OUTFITTERS, NORDSTROM (for shoes) and ZARA. All the other stores are just FLUFF... They either don't compliment my sense of style or too too trendy and cheap or too darn expensive to be shopping there on a regular basis. So when taking the stroll around the mall hitting up the regular spots I ended my expedition at ZARA.
ZARA has become America's go to shopping place and I can't lie I've fallen victim as well, but not anymore. Don't get me wrong ZARA has very fashionable clothes and inspiring looks but I don't want to be that ZARA CLONE anymore. Yeah, the color pants, skirts, shirts and blazers are the bomb and very vibrant, but come on now, how many colored blazers and pants can one have? I get bored with TRENDS easily and am always ready for the the next trend to surface. I don't like doing what the crowd does, I like doing me and setting trends. I really hate when trends surface and we push the trend to the max! It's a trend, it will be out of style in the next season so fall back a bit and explore the trend when it's new and then move on PLEASE! I guess that saying is true... "SHE WEARING THAT LIKE IT'S GOING OUT OF STYLE" Lol! Okay I'm done venting, on to the next...
Okay, I said all of that to say that... TODAY! I will be taking my fashion talents to my local and favorite RESALE shops! Thank the LORD for those! My creative juices really starts to flow when I'm vintage shopping. So hopefully I have much success there!
Wish me luck!
